Use a Computer
The Norma Anders Public Library has eight computers available for patron use. In order to use a computer you must first stop at the circulation desk and sign in.
Our policy reads that a signed parental permission slip needs to be on file for any child under the age of 18 before they will be allowed to use the computer.
The computers are available for patron use for a one hour (60 minute) time block unless there are people waiting to use the computers. In such instances patrons will only be allowed a 30 minutes time block. If no one is waiting, the patron may extend their usage beyond the one hour time block.
Internet access is not filtered at the library and the policy reads as follows on Internet usage:
The library does not monitor and has no control over the information accessed through the internet and cannot be held responsible for its content. The internet and its available resources may contain materials of a controversial or mature nature. The Norma Anders Public Library does not protect the internet user from information they may find offensive. Library users access the internet at their own discretion and they are responsible for any access points they reach. Parents and guardians of minor children, not the library staff, are responsible for their child's use of the internet through the library's connection.
The Norma Anders Public Library computers are not to be used for illegal activity. If a patron has violated the above stated Computer Policy, they will be denied use of the computer for one month. If after that month, they violate the policy again, they will be denied future use of the computer.
