Parents/older siblings/grandparents may read to young children unable to read by themselves.
Children who turn in reading logs at story hour each week will be entered into the weekly drawing for a mini prairie dog puppet (June 19, June 26th, July10th and July 17th).
Reading logs can also be turned in anytime at the library in a box marked Pre-2nd "Dig into Reading" until 6:00 p.m. on July 17th.
All participants will receive a coupon for a free admission to the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines and are invited to the hot dog lunch following Ronald McDonald's visit to the library July 24th.
The summer story hour prize drawing will be immediately following Ronald McDonald's July 24th visit to the library (approximately 11:00 a.m.)

Read and record the title and page numbers for the age appropriate books read.
Reading logs can be turned in at the library in a box marked 3rd-5th "Dig into Reading".
Your summer goal is to read 500 pages. Attendance at library programs will get you an additional entry into the prize drawing. Also, if you read more than 500 pages you will get an extra chance at prizes. Multiple entries will increase your odds of winning.
