This regular preschool story time is open to elementary aged students over summer break. Come join the fun of listening to picture books, centers and crafts. This week we will have a mystery guest reader.
Tama County Conservation Program: Nature Songs Jun 11, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Tama County Naturalist Logan Roberts will lead a program at the library on Monday, June 11 at 10 a.m. Learn about the songs of nature at this program for preschool through 5th grade. In this program learn about and hear nature sounds from birds, mammals, insects, amphibians and more. Meet a live critter, learn how to imitate nature sounds and play nature song game. When you listen to nature you will hear more sounds than the busiest rock concert!
Story Time Mystery Guest Reader Jun 11, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
On Monday, June 18 at 10 a.m. our story time will feature a mystery reader. Children aged preschool through 5th grade are welcome to join us for picture book stories, crafts and activity centers at the library.
ISU Insect Zoo Jun 20, 2018 from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM Dysart Community Building,
The Iowa State University Insect Zoo will travel to Dysart on Wednesday, June 20 for a 2 p.m. program, The Song of Bugs, at the Dysart Community Building. The program will begin with an original story written by Ginny Mitchell, Insect Zoo Coordinator. During this story hear the sounds of many different bugs as ‘Unia the cricket, who has lost his song, tries to find out why he is different. Following the story, we will have a Bugtastic Insect Zoo display with many hands-on opportunities. This program is designed for children aged preschool through 5th grade.
Tama County ISU Extension Sound & Science Program Jun 25, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Learning Center,
The last enrichment program in June will be presented by Jennifer Hulme, Tama County Youth Coordinator for the Iowa State University Extension. Learn about sound and science on Monday, June 25 at 10 a.m. at the library.
Story Walk (TM) Jun 05, 2018 from 01:00 PM to 06:00 PM Main Library,
Have fun as you read around the library completing activities paired with the pages of a story! This come-and-go program is offered from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is designed for preschool through 5th grade, although older and younger children are invited to join the fun.
