Studio Makers Jul 09, 2018 from 07:00 PM to 09:00 PM Main Library,
Join us for this monthly MakerSpace program for artists and creators aged high school and up. Bring your current art or craft project and enjoy the company of others while you create. We offer card-making, bullet journaling and adult coloring supplies such as markers, stencils, punches and embellishments. There is no fee for this program, but free-will donations are accepted.
Story Time at the Park Jul 09, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Learning Center,
This regular preschool story time is open to elementary aged students over summer break. Come join the fun of listening to picture books, making crafts, and doing our activity centers at the Dysart city park in the open shelter. Please note, children must be accompanied by a caregiver or parent. In case of rain, the story time will be held at the library.
Tot Time Story Time Jul 05, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM Learning Center,
Join us Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. for this story time designed for babies and toddlers. We will share simple stories, finger rhymes, and music.

This come-and-go program featuring fun ways to read and enjoy books will be available during normal hours on Tuesdays. Expect special activities and crafts, plus time to read!

This regular preschool story time is open to elementary aged students over summer break. Come join the fun of listening to picture books, making crafts, and doing our activity centers. Afterwards, stay and play in the children's area and checkout books. Infants and toddlers are always welcome and can easily join the fun with help! Please note, children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by a caregiver or parent.

Tama County ISU Extension Sound & Science Program Jun 25, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Learning Center,
The last enrichment program in June will be presented by Jennifer Hulme, Tama County Youth Coordinator for the Iowa State University Extension. Learn about sound and science on Monday, June 25 at 10 a.m. at the library.
ISU Insect Zoo Jun 20, 2018 from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM Dysart Community Building,
The Iowa State University Insect Zoo will travel to Dysart on Wednesday, June 20 for a 2 p.m. program, The Song of Bugs, at the Dysart Community Building. The program will begin with an original story written by Ginny Mitchell, Insect Zoo Coordinator. During this story hear the sounds of many different bugs as ‘Unia the cricket, who has lost his song, tries to find out why he is different. Following the story, we will have a Bugtastic Insect Zoo display with many hands-on opportunities. This program is designed for children aged preschool through 5th grade.

Tama County Conservation Program: Nature Songs Jun 11, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM
Tama County Naturalist Logan Roberts will lead a program at the library on Monday, June 11 at 10 a.m. Learn about the songs of nature at this program for preschool through 5th grade. In this program learn about and hear nature sounds from birds, mammals, insects, amphibians and more. Meet a live critter, learn how to imitate nature sounds and play nature song game. When you listen to nature you will hear more sounds than the busiest rock concert!
Story Walk (TM) Jun 05, 2018 from 01:00 PM to 06:00 PM Main Library,
Have fun as you read around the library completing activities paired with the pages of a story! This come-and-go program is offered from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is designed for preschool through 5th grade, although older and younger children are invited to join the fun.
