Take Your Child to the Library Day, Monday, February 9 We're celebrating kids in the library this February when thousands of libraries across the world celebrate Take Your Child to the Library Day by offering free, fun, fabulous activities for families.  Your local library is an ideal place for children to play, discover, make friends, and have fun. And Take Your Child to the Library Day is the perfect time to discover some library magic. Stop in during normal hours to learn all we have to offer!  Area libraries may be celebrating on different days. Use this link to explore all the libraries participating this year. https://takeyourchildtothelibrary.org/

Book Talk: This informal book discussion group is meeting this Friday (January 23) at 10 a.m. at the library. Join us to talk about the books we're reading. Discover new authors and make new friends!

Afternoon Book Club: The Afternoon Book Club will discuss The Secret War of Julia Child by Diana R. Chambers on Monday, February 2. The March selection is Dear Edward by Ann Napolitano. We order extra copies of book club books. Let us know if you would like to reserve a copy.

Office and Craft Supply Donations: If you are reorganizing in the new year, consider donating your gently used office and craft supplies. Some things we can use are paperclips, highlighters, notebooks, folders, pencils, and pens. We also would take craft supplies.

Reading Challenge: There is still time to enter the January monthly reading challenge. The theme is The Best of 2025. Find ideas at the library on display. The February theme will be Books with the Word "Heart" in the Title.  Earn one entry into our monthly drawing for Dysart Dollars for each book you read that fits the theme.

In the MakerSpace:

We’re Having “Snow” Much Fun with cozy themed crafts and activities this week in the MakerSpace. Find fun at the library when it fits your schedule.
