Exotic Animals with Dr. Bec, Wed. June 17 at 3 p.m. at the Dysart Community Building.

Meet Dr. Mike Bechtel. (You can call him Bec!) Bec is an associate professor of science education at Wartburg College and was a high school science teacher before that. He has always raised exotic animals in his classrooms and his home. He loves teaching and learning, adventures, meeting new people (especially those who share his love of animals), traveling to new corners of the planet, and studying interesting life forms.

Book Worms Book Club for Kids:

Join us tomorrow for the first meeting of our new summer book club for kids! Listen to a story, talk about your favorite books and have fun at the library. This program is designed for children who have completed kindergarten through fifth grade.

There is still time to pick up a book for the June discussion on Tuesday, June 23 at 7 p.m. when the Evening Book Club discusses Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera. Their July selection is The Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand. They will meet Tuesday, July 28 at 7 p.m. to discuss it.
